Improved Payment Process for Buyers!

The Crave team is always working to make the site better and easier to use. To keep that trend going, we will be releasing an improved payment process that will help make it even easier to buy TFs from the Transformers marketplace! Now buyers can make a purchase with a credit card and never leave the Crave website. This new process is enabled by a trusted payments provider called PoundPay, so you’ll see their logo show up on the new checkout page.  Buyers can also keep using Paypal if that’s what they prefer.  This gives all of us more choice when we see that TF we just have to get!

So is the selling process the same?
Yes, whenever a buyer makes a credit card purchase on the Crave site, the money will be paid to Crave as usual and then transferred to the seller when the item gets delivered successfully.  Selling is still entirely free!

What will be new for sellers?
Sellers will now have two ways to receive their money: Paypal OR direct to your bank account.  It is entirely the seller’s choice.  The only slight hassle is that they will need to register with PoundPay.  We explain how below and it is quick and straightforward.

How does that work?
(1) When an item has been successfully delivered and Crave transfers the payment to the seller, they will get an email from Paypal that they have money OR an email from PoundPay that they have money, depending on the payment method the buyer used.
(2) If a seller has money waiting for them with PoundPay, they will need to click the email link and register on their website using Facebook login (just like you did with Crave).  This Facebook login includes the same basic info that Crave requires.

We want to clearly state that PoundPay is a highly trusted company that we have partnered with over the past couple weeks to make it possible to securely use credit cards on the Crave website.
The first time a seller gets paid via PoundPay, they decide if they want their money sent to Paypal or to their bank account.  We know this is a bit of a hassle, but once you set up your PoundPay account, Crave will be just as easy as it was before for sellers, and even easier for buyers. This means more sales and a more active, thriving community!

Getting Paid Through PoundPay
A) You will get an email that money is waiting for you (just like you do with Paypal).
B) Click on the link in the email and you’ll see a web page like this:

C) Click “Create a new account to accept payment” and connect with Facebook:

D) Choose your PoundPay password so the account is extra secure:

E) And finally, choose how you want to be paid:
